Between 18 and 24 months your child will begin to share what he sees, thinks, and feels. Your baby is no longer a baby, but an active participant in your family, who has specific ideas of what he or she wants. Tantrums may become more frequent. There are ways to “short-circuit” excessive frustration. There are also ways to manage tantrums that are effective, but decrease the stress response in your child’s developing brain.
