Catherine Mancina Smith, PhD

Dr. Smith is Clinical Associate Professor in the School of Medicine at the UniversCathy_finalwebity of Kansas Medical Center (KUMC) and a licensed psychologist.  Dr. Smith earned her Doctorate degree in Developmental and Child Psychology from the University of Kansas. She is a faculty member at the Center for Child Health and Development (CCHD) where she is involved in clinical, research, training and community outreach activities. Dr. Smith has worked in the area of diagnosis and treatment of children with autism and developmental disabilities for over 20 years. In recent years, Dr. Smith has focused her work with children ages 0-5 years, particularly in the areas of infant mental health, developmental outcomes for preterm infants and assessment and diagnoses of autism and other developmental and behavioral disorders in very young children. Dr. Smith is a member of the American Psychological Association.
